A Guide to the various sizes of Hydraulic Valves

The ISO 4401 interface standard was developed to enable end users to switch out an existing valve to their nominated manufactures valve with complete interchangeability

ISO 4401:2005 specifies the dimensions and other data relating to surfaces on which four-port hydraulic directional control valves are mounted to ensure their interchangeability.

It applies to mounting surfaces for four-port hydraulic directional control valves which represent current practice. They are generally applicable to industrial equipment.

Below we have listed all the CETOP valve sizes and stated the maximum flow capability for each size.

Please note: the size 5 CETOP unit can be used as a single stage valve (with a maximum flow of 120 Litres Per Min) however, using a 2-stage valve allows the valve to handle a larger flow of oil (Up to 160 Litres per Min)

The size 2 CETOP/ISO valve will handle a maximum flow of up to 25 litres per minute.

The size 3 CETOP/ISO valve will handle a maximum flow of up to 80 litres per minute.

G05 (single stage)

The size 5 (single stage) CETOP/ISO valve will handle a maximum flow of up to 120 litres per minute.

G05 (Two stage)

The size 5 (Two stage) CETOP/ISO valve will handle a maximum flow of up to 160 litres per minute.

G07

The size 7 CETOP/ISO valve will handle a maximum flow of up to 300 litres per minute.

G08

The size 8 CETOP/ISO valve will handle a maximum flow of up to 700 litres per minute.

G10

The size 10 CETOP/ISO valve will handle a maximum flow of up to 1000 litres per minute.
